P.D.A Public Displays of Affection

P.D.A Public Displays of Affection

Megan Lawson, Ranger Review Reporter

Who cares, whatever, nobody even notices you. Public displays of affection are crawling the hallways of Lewis-Palmer High School and it’s completely alright. There are certain times when this situation is okay.

Certain situations where this is okay is a simple hand shake, hug and even a small kiss on the lips. Tongue isn’t quite necessary but if it is happening just blow it off. It is their lives and if that is how they want to portray themselves that is absolutely fine.

Students believe that they are in love and holding hands is just too boring now and they can do much more than that to show everyone else that they love each other. In reality they may not even make to the next week of school, just let them live their fantasy.

Personally I don’t have a problem with it. Yeah, I don’t want to see it a lot but if you want to leave your partner with a parting gift of a small smooch, be my guest.

Most students here have had a kiss before, regardless if it is in public or not which means most know what it is like. Hey, we are in high school, right? Everyone wants to live it up and do it their way.

Teachers were once children too and had a high school that had PDA as well. Believe it or not they were most likely just like us and kissing and making out in the hallway like the couples we see in our hallways today.

Let us just give all the love birds out there a break and let them do their thing. Live up your high school years and don’t let other couples showing PDA affect your experience here at LPHS.
