Sephora embodies every girly-girl’s paradise. The chic black and white store is now open at The Promenade Shops at Briargate in Colorado Springs.

Not only does Sephora carry high-end makeup but the store includes skin and hair care products, and perfumes from the most luxurious brands.

Sephora will be opening at The Promenade Shops at Briargate on April 13, 2012. Shops at Briargate opened as a classy alternative mall and Sephora will definitely add to that environment.

Brands include Benefit Cosmetics, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Lancôme, NARS, Too Faced, and Urban Decay.  Sephora also offers brands sold exclusively there, including OPI by Sephora, Buxom, and their own Sephora brand.

The store was founded in France by Dominique Mandonnaud in 1970. Sephora is a “unique, open-sell environment features an ever-increasing amount of classic and emerging brands across a broad range of product categories,” according to their website http://sephora.com.

For years high-end makeup has been hard to find. Colorado Springs has always specialized in beauty superstores- makeup stores such as Ulta, which include drugstore makeup with a few higher-end makeup companies.

Sephora has come to turn the tables. The brands that are considered high-end at Ulta now are the lower priced items at Sephora. Sephora turns its focus on quality instead of the best bargain.

Since 2006 Sephora popped up inside 300 JCPennys. They fit as much makeup as possible inside the tiny 1,500 square feet space, but now get their own room on Briargate.

The store opens on April 13, 2012 and will be open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturdays.  Sunday hours are noon to 5 p.m.

Sephora opening will make a huge difference in Colorado Spring’s style, one face at a time.
