LPHS Students vote for future Student Council Representatives

Lauren Medina, Ranger Review Reporter

It’s that time of year again where signs attack the halls and people are promising things that might not even be able to happen. These symbols all point to student council elections and it all comes down to who to vote for.

Leadership, communication skills, good behaviors and making our school a better place are all things that a student council representative needs to have.

Being on time is one of three key expectations for a representative; all tardies are counted and held against one who’s running.

Respect is the second expectation; having respect for peers, staff, and school property is very essential. Disrespect is never to be tolerated.

Grades is the last expectation to qualify; if found texting, playing games, doing work for other classes ,sleeping, being disruptive, or having any other missing material will not be accepted.

The competition is tight with everyone wanting to be the president for their grade.

“Even if I don’t win I’d be sad but I know Matt Prudhomme will do a great job anyway,” Brianna Mcewen said.

Not only are the students waiting for the results of the election but the candidates are even more eager than ever.

Hopefully the representatives encouraged people enough to vote for them, the results will definitely be a surprise.
