The competition was tight, everyone hoping that they would be the LPHS 2012 student council representatives.

The competition was fierce between all the candidates running.

Signs stoned the halls during the campaigning. Even Facebook groups were made to persuade students to vote for them.

“Even if I don’t win I’d be sad, but I know Matt Prudhomme will do a great job anyway,” Student Body President candidate Brianna Mcewen said.

Leadership, communication skills, good behaviors and making our school a better place are all requirements that a student council representative would have to acquire, too. Before the representatives could even qualify for running they had to have their peers had sign off on a sheet saying the campaigner would be a good person for the job.

Once the qualified applicants were set to go, it was up to each one of them to get votes.  On April 27, 2012 the students voted for their future representatives.

People got more and more eager waiting for the results. The wonder on who would win was endless.

Then finally, on May 2, 2012 the final outcome was announced on LPTV.

These representatives will try to make the year better than before.
