Every freshman’s dream is to get on a varsity team. Normally freshmen make a C-team and if there lucky they’ll make Junior Varsity, but not for freshman Colin Cicere.

Colin’s been playing baseball since he was 5 years old and absolutely loves the sport. He has also played on 6 competitive teams.

Colin started off being one of the top players for JV but after 2 games into the season he automatically swung up to play varsity.

Having an older brother that played baseball; Colin was easily inspired by his brother.  His brother had helped him out after Colin had told him he was very interested into the sport.

Practices that are 2 and a half hours long with a faster pace gets the boys more prepared for every game. The varsity has 7 wins and 12 loses, they are now on their way to the playoffs which will be a huge opportunity for Colin to show his skills.

“I don’t really get nervous when friends or family comes to my games because I’m more focused on the game not the crowd,” Colin Cicere said.

Colin wants to go to college at Florida State University to play baseball then he wants to strive to make the major leagues.

Since Colin is the release pitcher for the varsity team he just wants to improve more and more so he can one day make it to the major leagues.

This just shows one can make their dreams come true if they put a lot of time into something they love to do.
