Guys live in fear of the forbidden friend zone

Cayla Vitro, Ranger Review Reporter

Guys constantly complaining about being classified as strictly a friend by a girl they like or in other words, friend zoned has become a common occurence. Many don’t understand why this happens but girls do.

When a guy takes care of a girl and hangs out with her without making a move he appears to be uninterested and strictly friend material. The complaint from guys is that girls are complaining about not finding a good guy when there always seems to be one right in front of her.

Here’s the problem, high school is about making mistakes and learning from them, dating the coolest guys and not worrying about commitment. Girls always talk about finding the perfect guy and being in love but dating the wrong guy is what they do subconsciously to avoid getting hurt.

Many won’t admit to it but the guy who got friend zoned is too perfect, this does not give guys the permission to be jerks now to get the girl. However for a sixteen year-old girl meeting the guy that could end up being the love of their life is a terrifying thought. Heart break and pain is the worst thing a girl could experience and that’s exactly what they’re trying to avoid by friend zoning a close guy friend.

The best thing a guy can do in these situations is continue being her friend, when the guy she’s with breaks her heart she will always need a shoulder to lean on. Keep it up, and stop complaining.
