Linkin Park headlined the Honda Civic Tour in Englewood, Colorado on August 31, 2012 with special guests Incubus and Mutemath. Rocking the entire Comfort Dental Amphitheatre, they blew the minds of 18,000 screaming fans in one night.

Fans from all over Colorado came to the concert mainly just to see Linkin Park, since they were the stars of the show for the night. While fans waited anxiously for Linkin Park to perform, Mutemath and Incubus warmed up the crowd.

“Mutemath wasn’t really my kind of music, but they were good. And what I saw of Incubus was awesome,” senior Josh Piggot said.

Not only did Piggot attend the concert, he was also granted early entry into the Amphitheatre. Before Linkin Park performed, he had the privilege of meeting the band.

“Meeting Linkin Park was kind of disorganized and not as personal as I wanted but it was still an awesome opportunity and a great time,” Piggot said.

When Linkin Park took the stage, they played a wide variety of songs from both their old albums, and their latest album which is titled Living Things. The band was very good at engaging the audience, and did a nice job of appealing to old fans and new fans.

“My favorite part of the concert was when Linkin Park mixed the song Bleed it Out with a cover of Sabotage by the Beastie Boys,” Piggot said.

Going to concerts is not only a fun social activity, it is also a great opportunity to hear a band play live. Many Linkin Park fans would agree that hearing the music live is a totally different experience than just blasting their album on a stereo.

“There is so much more energy in a concert venue when everyone is singing and dancing to the music. Also when you can see the band rocking like they do, it makes the experience so much better,” Piggot said.

With the amazing vocals, shredding guitar solos, and high energy rock music, this concert was an incredible experience for fans of Linkin Park, Incubus, and Mutemath. The Honda Civic Tour hits Colorado every year and people can’t wait to find out who is coming next year.
