As the week full of fun homecoming activities began, powder puff football took the field under the lights Tuesday, September 18, 2012 night. Seniors and juniors against freshmen and sophomores played to determine who would be the ultimate powder puff champions of 2012.

With only two practices, the girls hit the field to throw, catch, and punt their way to victory.  In previous years at Lewis Palmer High School, the juniors and seniors have always come out victorious and this year was no different.

“It was a lot of fun to be competitive with the underclassman! Powder puff is a great way to get to know new people too.” said junior, Michelle Coleman

It is not just the players who can be thanked for the win, but their coaches and cheerleaders as well.

Juniors Alec Oberndorfer, Darryan Vanderpool, and Andrew Camp came fully dressed in cheer skirts, ready to cheer on the juniors and seniors.

The powder puff game was a success and a great homecoming activity on a Tuesday night.
