Finding Nemo swims back into theatres

The crew of Finding Nemo is just as lovable as ever.

In May of 2003, Pixar’s Finding Nemo was released in theatres across the United States earning more than $800 million in worldwide ticket sales. The film was a hit and continues to be as it was rereleased in theatres on September 14th in 3D.

If you have not seen the film, the story follows a timid clown fish, Marlin, on a journey to find his son, Nemo who has been taken by divers. While Marlin ventures off to try to retrieve Nemo, he meets a fish named Dory, a blue tang suffering from short-term memory loss. These companions travel a long distance, and encounter numerous dangerous sea creatures such as sharks, anglerfish, and jellyfish, in order to rescue Nemo from the dentist’s office situated in Sydney, Australia’s Harbor.

While many have seen the film already and even own it on DVD, there is always the question of “Is it really worth paying to see in theatres?”

With 3D becoming increasingly more popular in theatres and even at home, more and more things are being released and rereleased with increased visual effects. Some consider the extra $3-5 to be worth it while others would rather not endure the headache.

The first time Finding Nemo came out, audiences were amazed at all the vibrant colors and advanced animations shown in the film. Now, in 3D, more special effects can be seen than ever before.  Dimensions and effects are more enhanced and eye catching than ever before.

Finding Nemo swims back into theatres to catch our eyes and warm our hearts in 3D.
