It is well known that the students at Lewis-Palmer High School are the rowdiest bunch around when it comes to sporting events. Everyone comes dressed in their finest orange and black, some go as far as wearing bright orange construction vests and hats to make a statement to the other team from across the field.

The students congregate together but the inner-workings of the bleachers have become scrambled. Underclassmen are creeping their way up to the front row and pushing the seniors to the second and third rows. As seniors, we have waited four long years to reach the front row of the Rowdy Ranger section and lead the crowd in cheers.

When told to move back a row underclassman, even the juniors, put up a fight. When we were freshman, sophomores, and juniors the senior class today graciously moved back for the seniors at that time because it was understood that it was their last year to watch the games as a student of LPHS.

It is so frustrating to have to argue with someone on moving. It is the seniors place to sit front row and always has been. Your time will come as a senior and then the front row is all yours.

People need to understand this thing called “seniority”, meaning that as a senior we have privileges that other underclassmen do not get yet. The respect level for seniors has dramatically decreased.

This is the class of 2013; we’re here to run the school for one last year. Underclassmen, step off please.
