What students do on weekends

Lewis-Palmer High School students do many different activities. Some play sports, some are in clubs, some take Advanced-Placement, or AP, classes, and some are doing things not even involved with school.
With such busy lives, it is little wonder students look forward to weekends, where their schoolwork is laid aside for a few days and they can relieve their stress in whatever ways they want.
On Friday nights in the fall, students can go to the football games to cheer on our Ranger boys, either at home or at a different school.
“I like going to the football games,” freshman Jared Crump said. “I like supporting the school.”
Friday and Saturday nights of the weekend are usually reserved for date nights, or even for just going out with friends. Sometimes groups of students will be found milling around movie theaters or simply going out to eat dinner.
Saturdays range from doing things with family to doing things with friends. Some students are doing dance, they play in a band that isn’t school related, they go rock climbing, or they go to work. Saturdays are usually a day just to go out and have fun, or to work on other things that aren’t school related.
“I like to ride the “concrete wave” on my longboard,” freshman Ryan Torbert said.
Sundays are usually days of rest for students, where they lay their partying aside and catch up on homework and rest.
Some students watch football on Sundays, and others go to church. Sundays are usually the day to be with family and catch up on the doings of the week, right before it starts all over again.
