A disease has taken over the senior class. Senioritis is spreading, and quickly. The senior class is becoming lazier than usual and no one wants to do anything school related. Everyone is ready to move on from high school and continue their life as an adult.

I, myself am ready to move on from high school. The drama and immaturity of some people has become exhausting and no one wants to be around it anymore. College is an exciting adventure and most people are ready for it to start.

Being around the same kids since elementary school makes it hard to say goodbye, however it feels as though it is time to move on and meet new people who are interested in similar subjects as you with similar goals and aspirations for their lives.

Saying goodbye to such a well-known lifestyle could be hard for some who want to hold on to high school, but for others the time has been long overdue. Ready to move on with our lives and start anew the seniors of 2013 are anxious and excited for graduation.

A change of scenery and company will be nice compared to the stress of everyone becoming involved in every aspect of your life. Seniors are coming to school every day walking around like zombies just wanting graduation day to arrive. Wanting so desperately to walk across the stage in our caps and gowns to receive our diploma’s and say goodbye to everything. All the stressful days and unnecessary drama will be behind us as we start a new, exciting life around different people from across the nation at universities all over the United States.

Some seniors have chosen to graduate early and say goodbye before others will. December 19 being our last day is making every hour spent at school go by that much slower. Being so close, and yet so far away from being finished with it all is so bitter sweet.

On my last day of high school, December 19, I want to walk out of this school proudly with a smile on my face knowing that I had a good run with some incredible people. Making memories for years, cheering on our school teams and laughing so hard we cry. Of course I will miss the people I had so many happy times with, but all the same, it’s time for me to grow up and I have to say that I am more than ready to do so.
