When it’s the middle of the week and the homework is piled on, students really appreciate a well-deserved break. Snow days provide students with the perfect chance to catch up on homework, sleep, and to relax while enjoying a day of snow and peace.

“I look forward to snow days so I can sleep in. I sit by the fire place and drink hot chocolate. It is so serene, beautiful and white,” sophomore Kenzie McKay said.

However few and far between they might be, snow days are typically enjoyed by people of all ages. Snow ball fights, sledding, building snowmen, or just chilling with friends are just a few of the things to do when school is let out for snow.

“I look forward to snow days because I get to do nothing, drink apple cider and watch movies,” sophomore Courtney Child said.

Although snow days are greatly loved by most students, some feel that they disrupt the schedule and can be annoying.

“Honestly, I don’t really look forward to them because they are not fun and they mess up your schedule. I’d rather have longer breaks than snow days,” sophomore Jordan Arnold said.

Snow days offer students a day of relaxation during the middle of the week and allows them to return to school renewed, refreshed and ready to take on another school day.
