Finals week is quickly approaching and many students have already started studying for the exams.  During this stressful week, students often need to take a break from studying to refresh their minds.

“They are terribly, awfully important because you only have one chance to make it or break it,” sophomore Hanna Hartel said.

Final exams are very important to most students. With Honors and Advance Placement classes, finals week can be extremely stressful.

“It is stressful but I know that with hard work I can finish finals with a good grade,” junior Madison Skalla said.

During the week when the stress and frustration of final exams is at its peak, it is important for students to take a little break. Students cope with stress in many different ways.

“To relax during finals, I drink a lot of hot chocolate and I like to read good books in my spare time,” Skalla said.

Some ways students can relax is by going out with friends, reading a good book, watching movies or television, sipping on hot drinks or just sleeping. Relaxing during finals week can really help students and give them a chance to catch up on sleep.

They can also rest which allows their minds to rejuvenate so they are prepared to tackle the rest of their exams.  Doing well on finals is the perfect start to a stress free break.
