The Christmas tree is used on both Christmas Eve and Christmas day.

Christmas is a wonderful holiday for family and friends to gather and celebrate the birth of Christ. Children enjoy this holiday especially because of the presents they receive. Some families open their presents early Christmas morning, but there are a few who open presents on Christmas Eve.

Personally, my family has always opened presents on Christmas morning. Waking up early, running down the stairs and diving head first into a mound of thoughtful gifts was a part of my childhood. Opening gifts on Christmas Eve is a strange concept to me. A few families even are allowed one present to open Christmas Eve.

Something about the thrill of waking up early to a whole bunch of gifts I can’t wait to open makes me feel happy beyond belief. I could never imagine what it’s like opening gifts on Christmas Eve. The thrill would crumble.

Christmas is when you are supposed to sit around with just friends and family, to share gifts and celebrate. Opening presents before the day of celebrations seems off.

Christmas Eve has no special value compared to Christmas day. It’s simply… the day before Christmas. The celebration isn’t for Christmas Eve; the celebration is for the birthday of Jesus Christ.

Christmas day is when Christmas should be celebrated, and it should be kept that way.
