After a disappointing end to last year’s Y Ball season, with a loss in the championship game, the Brevard County Steezy T’s are back at work. Leading the charge is captain Nathan Conner.

“Nathan brings a lot of talent and motivation to the team. He’s one of my childhood idols, and to be on the same court as him is truly a blessing” senior Joe Dell said.

Although losing vital players in twin brothers Mason and Logan Woish, the hopes of taking home the title are still alive. The team holds mandatory practices at the local Y.M.C.A. every Tuesday and Thursday after school.

The team has several returning starters including Conner, Dell, and Matt Prudhomme. They also expect a huge season from the self-proclaimed “King” Sean Grundman.

“Yeah he’s good,” senior Conner proclaimed, “not a king but yeah he’s pretty good, I Expect to see a lot of good things out of him this season.”

Losing the championship game last season was a tough pill to swallow for these young men; however, it is all the motivation Grundman needs.

“I still think about that game all the time. Wondering what more I could have done. To be honest I haven’t gotten a full night of sleep since.” senior Grundman stated.

One thing for certain is the boys will leave it all out on the court this season. No punches will be pulled in this epic season filled with high expectations.
