College is an exciting stage in many teenagers’ lives. It is usually the first time a kid will be on-their-own. Some kids want to stay close to home, yet on the other hand the distance away from home is what makes college such a thrilling time. It is a time to create memories and have experiences that will last a life-time.

Lewis-Palmer’s own senior Sean Grundman, will be making many of these memories on the gridiron. This fall, Sean will have the opportunity to display his athletic abilities at the collegiate level. On February 6, National signing day, Grundman signed a National Letter of Intent to play for Western State Colorado University.

“I am excited to play with kids that have the same passion about the game as I do.” Grundman said.

This past season Grundman was dominant for the Lewis-Palmer Rangers Football team. Racking up over 1,800 all-purpose yards and eighteen touchdowns, Grundman crushed many school records this season.

Being the stud that he is, Grundman is a three-year letterman in both football and baseball. Although he considers baseball his “second sport” Sean takes it very serious and goes to all of the pre-season workouts.

Not only is Sean a beast on the field, but quite the scholar off. Sean and the rest of his group went to the finals of the statewide DECA conference. Having much success in this business club, Sean is planning on majoring in business at Western.

“High school is what you make it, the more involved you are with sports and clubs the more fun you will have.” Grundman stated.

Sean is very involved around the school and in the community. When Grundman isn’t practicing for a sport, he can be found in the front row of all the sporting events. Being one of the leaders of the Rowdy Rangers, Sean usually sports the basketball jersey, arm band, orange cowboy hat, and his signature face-paint.

Sean has a bright future ahead of him as a student-athlete. His hard work and determination is what set him apart from the rest.
