Many students travel for spring break

It has been a long time since Lewis Palmer High school’s last break in December and students everywhere are super excited about Spring Break. Some people enjoy high tailing it out of here for the week, and others prefer staying at home and wasting the days away.

Not everyone is so keen to leave for break. Some would rather stay here and enjoy time sleeping in and just plain doing nothing.

“I’m staying here for break and playing Xbox all week. Maybe hang out with a few friends,” senior Nelson Tucker said.

For the ones staying in Monument, not all are too thrilled about it. Some wish they could go somewhere for the break. A lot of students say they will be bored all week and want to go somewhere exotic and exciting

“I would rather go to China than stay in my basement all week,” junior Austin Shuemaker said.

Spring break is when the weather starts to get warm. Already shorts and T shirts are all over school. A lot of students try and head for the beach or anywhere else that’s warm. Some go with friends and others go with family.

Whether going off to an unknown vacation spot or staying in the dark of a bedroom, students are excited for Spring Break.
