This year has progressed quickly and it is already springtime; a time in which many exciting sports are beginning for Lewis-Palmer’s students. The students have been anticipating the spring so that they can finally take off in their sports. The sports going on this spring include women’s’ Tennis, men’s and women’s Track, women’s Soccer, men’s Baseball, women’s Golf, and men’s Lacrosse. Not only is there a lot going on in LP with the summer quickly approaching, but these seasons recently beginning has caused many of the students to become busy and eager.

“I’m really excited for the Tennis season. I think our team will do well this year,” sophomore Jordan Arnold said. “I play one doubles this year, which is the highest doubles team, and my partner is Lauren Manney, one of my close friends, so I’m looking forward to playing the rest of the season with her.”

Apart from Tennis, men’s and women’s Track just recently had their second meet. The coaches and players are visualizing an awesome season ahead of them.

The women’s Soccer season has also recently begun. The players on this tough Lady Ranger team are counting on a strong season.

“I think this season has been just fabulous so far. And I think there’s a lot of potential for us this year,” sophomore Abby Weingart said. “I made the JV team and I’ve gotten pretty close with all of the girls on the team already so this season should be really fun.”

The women’s Golf season has also started and the golfers here are looking forward to some warm weather to play in.

“The season has started within the past week, but we haven’t had a tournament yet. Everyone seems to be doing well, and I think the season will be tons of fun,” sophomore Megan Meier said.

So far this season for men’s Baseball and Lacrosse, it has been popular for many students from LP to attend the games to cheer on their classmates. There is an upcoming Lacrosse game on March 22nd and many students are planning to go.

With the summer getting nearer and nearer, kids are already anxious. On top of that, many sports are just now beginning their seasons and will finish up sometime during May. The dedicated students of Lewis-Palmer are happy to be participating in the sports they play and look forward to seasons of greatness.
