On Friday September 6, the Link Tailgate was held in the Lewis-Palmer parking lot at 5:30 prior to the first home football game. The abundance of food and friends was a great way for the freshman and link leaders to kick off the football game.

“It was a fun event! It was a great place to meet new people and hang with friends,” said freshman, Zach Finkill.

Freshman, Addison Demarco, said, “My link leaders, Ryan, Mel, and Avie are fun to be around and they treat me very nicely. The tailgate was a blast thanks to them.”

The Link Tailgate was a great opportunity for the freshman to get involved in the school and all the activities that come with it. The link leaders here at LP were welcoming and helped to encourage the freshman to be the best they can be here at Lewis-Palmer.

“Being a link leader is amazing because you can help all the freshman. The Link Tailgate this year was very fun because there were a ton of freshman and good food” said junior link leader, Colin Cicere.

According to many other freshman and link leaders, this years Tailgate was a great way to kickoff the first football game and foreshadows that this year at LP will be great.
