The hallways of Lewis Palmer High School seem to be more crowded than they did during any of the previous years. Students are coming for a variety of reasons.

Some may be here because of a transfer of one of his or her parents work, or simply because he or she just recently moved homes or schools, like Lilly Valentine who lost her house in the Black Forest Fire.

But Micheal Butler came here for basketball.

Sophomore Micheal Butler changed schools for a specific reason. He had heard about the outstanding basketball team that plays for Lewis Palmer so he changed schools in order to be a part of it.

“I just wanted a better basketball team and Lewis Palmer was the place to go,” Butler said.

Micheal moved to Lewis Palmer from Vista Ridge High School and has made many new friends. He is enjoying himself at Lewis Palmer and he is ecstatic for basketball season.

The other new students who are here no matter what their reason for moving are also having a great time. They are all having a great time at their new school Lewis Palmer.
