Paul playing football

Star football player Paul Tillotson is only a sophomore, and he is already the starting quarterback. He hasn’t had any practice time in previous weeks and only had a two hour notice before his first game.

“My first game was nerve racking because we didn’t end up winning. But I’m looking forward to improving as an individual and a team,” Sophomore Paul Tillotson said.

His teammates are very tolerant of the short notice changes and support him in all of their games. Tillotson had no idea what to say when he was asked if there was a lot of pressure on him to be an amazing varsity quarterback.

“Yes there is a lot of pressure on me to do well at all the games, because if you lose the whole school blames you. So you basically become the school punching bag,” Tillotson said.

Although their first two games ended in losses they are improving as a team and are very excited for the rest of the season. Paul is looking forward to improving his skills and hopefully bringing in a win for the Lewis-Palmer varsity football team.
