One Direction’s newly released movie ‘This is Us’ reveals what it’s like to be a boy band phenomenon that took the world by storm. In the movie, viewers are able to follow the boys from the very beginning of their “X-factor” auditions, all the way to their biggest selling show on tour last summer in Mexico City, Mexico. This captivating film shows what it is like to be Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, and Zayn Malik throughout their journey to stardom.

This is Us causes almost every girl to melt, whether she is a fan or not. They are charming, witty, and provide a down to earth personality that captures what their fans like best about them. This movie has been criticized for cheesiness, fake attitudes, and even that the movie isn’t a real documentary, One Direction has captured many wide ranging opinions across the board.

I however, fully support the One Direction boys despite the entire back lash that can be received for liking them. This movie is what fans like me have been waiting for – a chance to get to know them a little better. And this movie did not disappoint, showing “Directioners” what it was really like to be away from home so long, while battling the conscientious worries of the fame fading in the blink of an eye.

What most people don’t realize is how similar One Direction is to other boys their age. They don’t like dancing, they love to eat, and they also love their girls. I recommend seeing this movie to fully understand and appreciate everything they’ve accomplished in such a short time while still acting like normal boys.

This is Us provides viewers of all ages with an enjoyable movie while getting to know the world’s biggest boy band as ordinary teenagers who just want to enjoy their fame and all they have accomplished.
