Lewis Palmer Loses Its Star Linebacker

Senior, Chad Marshall, Lewis Palmer’s most trusted inside linebacker and fullback, recently got injured causing him to be out for the season.

“My foot got landed on and the ligaments on the bottom of my foot were torn. So I’m getting surgery here soon. I’m not sure what the recovery time is for that. But I’m out for the season,” said senior, Marshall.

Chad has been playing football since 7th grade and unfortunately, his football career has come to a halt.  However, Chad hopes for a speedy recovery so he can play football in college.

“I’ve never been injured before, and I’m not really sure what college I would want to play for. I attended several camps this summer, one for CSU Fort Collins and another for the University of North Texas.  I’m also interested in some division 2 schools like western state and others since they would be more likely to let me play.  But it’s all currently up in the air because of the injury,” Marshall said.

Through Chad is injured, he continues to be hopeful for the future.  In assistance his peers are all praying for a speedy recovery for him.
