Very few people know about the Monument Skate Park and even fewer ever go to it. However, there are still many skateboarders and bikers who are there as often as they can be. Many come every weekend and every day after school.

Sophomore Zach Mills is a local skater who goes to the skate park as often as he can and always sees other kids there enjoying it as well. “The skate park is really bad, there needs to more stuff there.” If we had more stuff people would go more often, Zach Mills said.

Many kids, who go, want to see changes for the better with the skate park. All of them wish it was the way it used to be before the city took away many of the features that used to be there leaving the skaters with the bare minimum.

If there was more at the park more kids would show up. This would benefit the city because it would keep kids off the streets. With more to do kids don’t get bored as often so they won’t have to go find other spots around the city to skate at.

The administration building is a great spot for skating and it is in walking distance of the park so many kids go there to skateboard. Instead of spending money on signs and skate stoppers they should put money into the park.
