Beautiful Colorado changes from summer to autumn.

Winter is just around the corner and the weather is changing fast. Colorado’s unpredictable weather goes from snow last week to mid-70s this week. Lewis-Palmer students are preparing for the ups and downs still to come.

“My favorite season is autumn because of the color changes and pumpkin flavored everything. The worst part of the weather changing is the idea that it is going to be cold for the next six months. I’m not ready for the snow or piercing cold when I step outside. But on the bright side, I get to wear boots, sweaters, and pretty much the other half of my closet,” senior Kaelen Allen said.

Though the cold weather can be good for girls ready to wear sweaters and leggings and for all the pumpkin pie and coffee drinks, it also has some downs.

“I like the weather changing, I’m ready for snow days. But it affects my life in multiple ways, from football to driving. In football, we now have to bring warm weather gear and the games get really cold. It also takes longer to warm up my car and driving in snow and ice is kind of a down,” senior Christian Abbatiello said.

Wintertime is tiptoeing in and Lewis-Palmer’s students are ready for sweater weather and snow days.
