This year seems to be going be so fast. It is already October and Halloween will be creeping up sooner than expected.

Younger children thrive on going trick-or-treating at night and getting all different types of candy. Now that people are older, Halloween has lost some meaning for most of us because, for the most part, older kids and teens alike spend Halloween in other ways.

A lot of people choose to go out and party with their friends or do crazy things. Some people, on the other hand, might prefer to hang out at home and watch scary movies with a few friends.

For those who would rather stay at home and watch scary movies with a few friends, these are some of the good scary movies that I have seen.

The unborn, a movie about a young lady who begins being haunted by an unborn baby when she is babysitting a young child and his younger brother.  She goes and visits an older woman who she believes has the answers to all he questions.  Eventually she ends up having to have an exorcism.

The conjuring, a more recent movie, is about a family that is living in a house that is causing them to be haunted by an unfamiliar spirit. Spirit hunters some into the house in order to help them figure out the spirits purpose and to help them get rid of it. Once they gain contact with the spirit, they find out what his purpose for being there is. Towards the end of the movie, they finally begin trying to remove the spirit from their house, and the mother.

Sinister, is a movie that makes some people upset because of the ending, but other than that is an amazing scary movie. it is about a man who writes about true crimes.  Not telling his family, he moves them into the house where the crime had happened. While investigating, he finds a box of 8mm home movies. Films that suggest the murder he is researching is a serial killer from that dates all the back to the 1960s’.

The shining was a movie directed in the year 1980. Because it is an older movie, kids our age usually do not want to watch it, but it is one of the best scary movies I have ever seen. In this movie, a family goes to an isolated hotel for the winter where an evil and spiritual presence influences the father into violence, while his psychic son sees horrific forebodings from the past and of the future.

A lot of teens Halloween consist of watching scary movies. Good ones are really hard to find, but these are a few of the really good ones that I have seen in my time of watching them.
