Though the students of Lewis Palmer are getting older, they still have the same love for Halloween they had when they were younger.  Popular costumes this year range from Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke to Toy Story’s Jesse and Woody.

“This year I’m dressing up as Iron Man for Halloween because my friends and I are going as the Avengers together,” said junior, Meghan Mcgrath.

Some people decide who they are for Halloween based off of who they look like.  This is a good way to choose what costume to wear since you can pull of the costume easily and make it look good.

“I am going to be Rapunzel from the movie Tangled for Halloween because I am Rapunzel,” said Michaela Okland, junior.

Homemade costumes are a creative and unique way to dress up for Halloween.  Pinterest is a website that is helpful on finding a costume to make, that includes what materials and the directions for constructing the outfit.

“The one time I had made a homemade costume for Halloween, I was Miley Cyrus.  I assembled a few outfits together to pull off the look.  This is before Miley cracked, back when she was pretty,” said Okland.

At Lewis Palmer most of the students have participated in Halloween from a young age.  Having participated in Halloween for such a long time gives time for the students to make fun and not so fun memorable nights of trick-or-treating.

“My favorite costume I’ve ever had was my one-piece Tiger costume I wore when I was seven.  I looked so adorable,” said Okland.

Whether the students of Lewis Palmer make their costume or buy their costume, Halloween remains to be a night of making memories with friends.
