Poms team freezing at football games

The Lewis-Palmer poms team works hard to perform for the Lewis-Palmer student body at football games. They practice every day after school for two hours, proving they are very dedicated to what they do.

But I find that the way they get treated at the games is unfair. Team members have to be there an hour early, and even when its freezing have to stay until the clock hits zero. The only warm clothing they are allowed to wear is their warm-up sweats and jackets, which are thin and do not keep them very warm.

When they are preforming their half-time show, they can’t wear their warm-up uniforms, only their skirts. Even worse than that, if one girl forgets her sweats, none of the girls can wear them. I understand that the point of this is to remind the girls to bring them, but I don’t think every girl should be disciplined for one girl’s mistake.

When they aren’t performing or cheering, they are not allowed to huddle up with each other to keep warm. Also they aren’t allowed to go to the restroom at all during the game.

I think that some changes should be made. The girls should have the choice to wear something under their warm-up outfit and be allowed to use the restroom when they aren’t performing or cheering during the game. I also think they should be able to huddle up to keep each other warm.

If these changes are made, the poms girls might have more fun at the football games, while supporting our team.
