Every year, kids of all ages anticipate one very special day of the year to come around. Halloween is full of fun, good time scares, and almost everybody seems to love the holiday. Everybody loves to go full out and participate in this creepy, kooky day.

Whether it’s baking, dressing up, getting a good scare, or trick or treating, everybody seems to have fun traditions on Halloween. Some traditions that Junior Meghan McGrath does every year are trick or treating, carving pumpkins, and watching Hocus-pocus with her brother.

“Every Halloween night, my grandpa sits outside of the house dressed up and scares trick-or-treaters. It’s so funny to see kids scream when he jumps out and unexpectedly scares almost everyone who comes to our house,” McGrath said.

Some other Halloween traditions that people include decorating their house and baking festive treats that match the holiday season. Some like to decorate their house with creepy spider webs and jack-o-lanterns.

A lot of people also like to cook pumpkin seeds. Some other holiday favorite treats are candy corn and candy apples. People also like to bake foods that look like creepy things.

Junior Lilly Commerford said, “My favorite things about Halloween are the pumpkin scented candles, watching scary movies, and dressing up in fun costumes with my friends.”

No matter how old, everyone seems to find something they enjoy about Halloween. Traditions make Halloween fun and every year new traditions start.
