On Sunday, October 20th, the undefeated Denver Broncos traveled to the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indiana to battle the Indianapolis Colts in their seventh game of the 2013 season. It turned out to be a victory for the Colts; the final score a close 33 to 39.

This game was marked as the first time that the Broncos quarterback, Peyton Manning, returned to play against the Colts after leaving Indianapolis. Manning and Andrew Luck, Colts quarterback, faced off in the legendary game that determined NFL power ranking.

Before the game began, the Denver Broncos were undefeated 6-0 and ranked number one. Even though the Indianapolis Colts were 4-2, their victory over the Broncos caused them to take the place of number one.

Throughout the last three quarters of the game, Peyton Manning didn’t overcome Andrew Luck; his competition.  It was tough for Manning to play against the team he was once a loyal part of so that could’ve possibly contributed to the outcome of the game.

Although the loss against the Colts took a definite toll on the players of the Denver Broncos as well as the fans, it’s important to have a positive outlook toward the future. A Broncos victory would’ve been an amazing addition to the undefeated record they held but the loss will contribute to the Broncos working even harder to finish out the rest of the season.
