Coffee is bad for teenagers

Jake Haderle, Ranger Review Reporter

Many teenagers drink coffee even though it is really bad for them. Coffee is good for short time energy, but it can really hurt you in the long run. There is a lot of sugar in coffee which causes an adrenaline rush. The adrenaline rushes that teens get harm their adrenaline glands.

When people constantly drink coffee, their adrenaline glands weaken. When the gland weakens, it can’t produce a normal amount of adrenaline.  The lack of adrenaline causes people to wake up and be sleepy. When they are sleepy, they want coffee, which hurts them even more.

Not many people realize how bad coffee is for them. There are people who don’t care and people who don’t know. The effects of coffee are very harmful; no matter how good it tastes or how much energy it produces.
