Lewis-Palmer High School was extremely well represented at the State DECA, or Distributive Education Clubs of America, conference on February 23rd-25th. DECA is a business club at Lewis-Palmer and many other schools. Eighteen of the forty-three students that competed in this event received awards. The number of competitors in each event ranged from forty to over one-hundred, so being selected as a finalist is quite difficult.

The students that received awards were Ethan Liss for being a top performer in the Sports and Entertainment marketing event, Emma Hatfield for being a top performer in the Marketing Management event, Avery Bell and Lauren Manney for being top performers in the Fashion Merchandising Promotion Plan written event, Michelle Coleman and Stacie Loidolt for being finalists in the Business Law and Ethics Team Decision Making event, Courtney Morris and Kelsey Morris for being finalists in the Business Services Operations Research written event, Sam Nesmith and Iain Morrison for being finalists in the Advertising Campaign written event, Emma Hatfield, Bea Uy, Alexa Smith and
Abigail Bartalo for being finalists in the Buying and Merchandising Operations research written event, Michaela Smith for 6th place in the Apparel and Accessories Marketing event, Sommer Briddon for 2nd place in the Apparel and Accessories Marketing event which qualifies for the DECA International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, Cody Leeper for 3rd placeĀ  in the Automotive Services Marketing event which qualifies for the DECA International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, and Kayla Caves and Mikaela Harvey for 2nd place in the Hospitality Team Decision Making event which qualifies for DECA International Career Development Conference in Atlanta.
