Nicole Montgomery, Lewis-Palmer High School’s track and volleyball star is constantly setting new records during her Ranger Power class.  Montgomery has set three records recently for the squat, power clean, and dead lift.  She has set the record at 195 pounds for squat, 135 pounds for power clean and 265 pounds for deadlift.

“I have done summer weights since freshman year but this is my first weight class during school,” junior, Montgomery said.

Ranger Power, the class Montgomery attends at Lewis-Palmer consists of all boys.  But she does not find it weird to be working out with all boys and actually enjoys it.

“They’re actually fun to lift weight with since they push me to do more and since I’m the only girl in the class, it also pushes me to work harder.  I was so excited when I beat the record, I did not think I would be able to do that but with a few weeks of training I did,” Montgomery said.

Nicole Montgomery is constantly improving and Lewis-Palmer cannot wait to see what she accomplishes next.
