Things happening to help make this Halloween grand

Halloween is approaching fast. No one wants to sit at home and do nothing on Halloween night. Most might think it will be too cold to go do something, but they are wrong. Here are some ideas for what one could do on Halloween.

Chatfield Corn Maze

At the Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield, there is an eight- achre corn maze that one has to find their way through to get to the other side. This year the Maze design is a huge butterfly and after dark it transforms into a glow maze. It has three foot glow sticks and black lights. Tickets include a hayride, unlimited jumping on a giant pillow and pony or train rides are available for an additional fee. On top of that there will be food venders. The October and November hours are:

Friday- 4:00 to 9:00pm

Saturday- 10:00am to 9:00pm

Sunday- Noon to 6:00pm

Boo At the Zoo

“Boo at the Zoo” takes place at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. The cost depends on age and the fee is paid when arriving at the zoo. Tickets include trick-or-treating, a haunted house, grave yard, spooky trick-or-treating stations, pirate’s cove, lit pumpkin patch and animal shows. “Boo at the Zoo” is open October 17-19, 24-26 and the 31st. The hours for “Boo at the Zoo” are:

Friday- 4:00pm to 8:30pm

Saturday- 4:00pm to 8:30pm

Sunday- 4:00pm to 8:30pm

Trick-or-Treating

It would also be nice to just keep it traditional and go out trick-or-treating. One could dress up as whatever is most appealing and go out to collect candy. Trick-or-treating has been a Halloween tradition since the 1940’s. Grab a sibling or group of friends and head out to gather a ton of candy. Sometimes friends get back and trade the candies that they don’t like with friends or siblings.

Spider Mansion

At Heritage Square in Denver, the Spider Mansion is Colorado’s most feared and respected haunted house. Spider mansion definitely does not disappoint.  It is Colorado’s scariest, most intense attraction. It is open September 26-27 and October 3 to November 1. There are tight hallways, great actors and an amazing theme.  This haunted house is for the bravest of brave. The hours are:

Sunday- Thursday: 7:00pm to 10:00pm

Friday-Saturday: 7:00pm to 12:00am

Halloween can be fun for anyone and with these ideas it will definitely make ones Halloween special.
