Being a senior enables students to do more than they can imagine, especially in the way of college preparation. Courtney Morris, senior, is a typical girl with a lot of goals who is pursuing as many opportunities as she can including the choices for college.

“It is a relief to be a senior, but stressful all at the same time. With college decisions coming up, it is a lot to process. My plans after high school is pursuing a physical therapy degree at college. The student athletic training program here at LP is making that a reality already,” Morris said.

Courtney Morris was recently accepted by the University of Evansville, but she is still waiting on responses from several other colleges. A feeling of achievement comes for every senior in some way or another, and for Morris, it comes at a personal level.

“What I feel I have really accomplished in high school is to be more independent which will help me profoundly after I graduate,” Morris said.

Among Morris’ highest achievements, DECA is one of her best successes.

“DECA is one of my absolute favorite activities that I participated in during school. I have gone to state twice and placed in the top ten last year in an event I did with my sister, Kelsey. I also came in second in an event I participated in at an invitational last year,” Morris said.

In her final high school year, Morris is able to participate in as many opportunities as possible all while making this year her most memorable.
