Oklahoma, the musical, performed by drama club and band students at Lewis-Palmer High School.  This year’s director, Jordan Clark, has decided to take on the brave task of making this musical come to life. The traditional cliche about a handsome cowboy, a sweet farmhand and charming cowgirl, coming together as the audience follows them throughout their love triangle.

Clark and the entire crew of the play are excited to be a part of this amazing masterpiece they have created.

“Mr. Clark is an amazing director and teacher because he brings really fun and exciting new ideas to the classroom,” Tristyn Park, 10, said.

Park, who participated in the play In The Middle of Grand Central Station last year, is also playing the part of Armina, an energetic farmer’s daughter,  for this years play, Oklahoma. Although she doesn’t have a lead role, her part is still important.

“I am most excited for opening night because there is a special feeling I get for the first time performing something I’ve been working hard on for months,” Park said.

Most of the cast and crew members believe that feeling of accomplishment is the most wonderfully indescribable feeling anyone can get.

“I am incredibly proud of my students and staff. I am looking forward to opening night. The students and staff put a lot of hard work into this musical, and I’m excited to see how they’ll do,” Clark said.

Opening night for Oklahoma is Thursday, November 20 and continues until Saturday, November 22.

With the humorous scenes and the catchy dance numbers, who wouldn’t want to see the turnout this year.
