Billions of people were impressed by Star Wars: The Force Awakens which, made $936,064,861 in total gross, and Inside Out, which made $356,461,711 in total gross. As Disney celebrates over 75 years of movie magic with almost 600 different films, they have produced a new film that some viewers consider the best of the past two years.

Disney fans were expecting something great from the company’s newest movie, Zootopia, and the crowds weren’t disappointed. Within the first week of Zootopia being released, the movie acquired $92,615,126 in total gross and the theaters were packed.

From the moment the previews for Zootopia were released, expectations were very high. According to one critique from Cinemablend, Zootopia isn’t simply another fun Disney animated movie; it’s one of the greatest Disney animated movies the company has ever produced.

Zootopia is the story of a grey rabbit named Judy Hopps, played by Ginnifer Goodwin, who dreams of being a cop despite the obstacles before her. After her success in school, Hopps is faced with a harsh reality as a rookie police officer. Racing against time, she searches for lost animals so that peace can be restored and she can keep her job.

“The brilliantly well-rounded Zootopia offers a thoughtful, inclusive message that’s as rich and timely as its sumptuously state-of-the-art animation — all while remaining fast and funny enough to keep younger viewers entertained,” said a critique from the website Rotten Tomatoes. Rotten Tomatoes rated the movie a little over an eight out of ten.

The animators made a breakthrough with the fur design, and it was extremely apparent through each of the scenes in the movie. Hollywood animators programed the fur to look more natural on the animals. Each animal had a different design which made the movie more attractive in the long run.
Personally, I rate this movie a nine out of ten on accounts of an intriguing storyline, memorable characters and a positive message that will not be forgotten.
