“I choose Lewis-Palmer because I have many more friends here, my boyfriend attends this school, and I did not feel comfortable at Palmer Ridge because there are many girls that I am not friends with. The girls have been mean to me in past years,” Kirby said.
Even though Lauren was able to attend Lewis-Palmer, her parents had to figure out how to get both of their kids to school. They would leave the house to drop off Lauren at Lewis-Palmer first and then drive to Palmer Ridge to drop off Ben.
Both siblings play basketball so it’s another conflict when the Kirbys have games on the same night. Lauren’s mother watches all of Lauren’s away games. When Ben has home games, she goes to her son’s games.
Though they might go to different schools Ben watches over Lauren and always has her back. All the while Lauren tries to hook up her brother with a Lewis-Palmer sweetheart.
“We do not fight about which school is better, we mainly just sit and fill each other in on what’s going on at our schools. Honestly being siblings and attending two very different schools is not all that bad,” Lauren said.
