The Maze Runner, a movie and novel about a young boy named Thomas who wakes up in a maze without any recalled memories, is a mysterious action-packed thriller. Thomas enables the community of boys to try and escape the maze, facing exciting events and twists. The movie gives new perspectives to people, leaving its viewers with a sense of worry and a longing to know what happens next to the kids who escaped the maze.

“I thought the movie was sad. I think it could have ended better because people didn’t have to die. My favorite part was when they made it through the maze, and they were free. But I disliked it when the grievers had attacked their home,” junior Kaitlin Gallegos said.

On a more emotional level, The Maze Runner was able to capture and affect the viewers’ attention as well as their moods.

“It impacted me because it made me think about our society. If our society was like that, how would we survive?” Gallegos said.

The movie gave off a sad yet adventurous appeal, but it is one film worth watching.

“It was awesome. I definitely give it a 10, and I cannot wait to see the second one,” Gallegos said.

This movie leaves viewers a desire for The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials to swing into theaters in 2015.
