Preparations were in store as old and new faces filed into the Ranger Zone. Members of the Lewis-Palmer High School POMS dance team were saying their last goodbye’s as the team sat together, discussing the highlights of the season. The seniors held their heads up high and happily bounced into the room. The last reunion of the POMS team was held the first of April and everyone’s spirits were high.

A slideshow that was shown at the banquet that brought tears to everyone’s eyes, the moments that were shared with everyone that night would never be forgotten.

“The banquet had a lot of happy and sad moments. It was good because we got to hangout with each other again, since we haven’t had practice in a long time, it was good to see the team together. The sad part is that it is approaching the end of the year, but we managed to wrap up the season in a fun way,” Laura Nolt,12, said.

The seniors will be leaving, and passing on the torch to the now freshman, soon to be sophomores.

“My advice for future POMS dancers is to  try and balance extra curricular activities, as well as academics. Have fun and do not let your four years go by too quickly. Also be sure to create close friendships with your teammates,” Nolt said.

POMS have really stepped up their game and choreographed dance routines that will never be forgotten. In every assembly, the dancers were ready to dazzle the crowd with the eye catching outfits and mesmerizing dance routines. The last performance definitely went out with a bang before the last varsity basketball game.

As the team says goodbye to the seniors they also say hello to the new members coming in next year.
