Mod Pizza workers making pizza

Olivia Peterson, Ranger Review Reporter

Recently, I have been to the new MOD Pizza on Bass Pro Drive, opened this October. I had never been to a MOD Pizza before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. When I first walked in, I was instantly hit with the aroma of freshly baked pizza and I noticed the place was pretty crowded. The layout of the restaurant was aesthetically pleasing, and they have lots for you to look at. The staff was very friendly and patient, and the pizza tasted really great. I was pleasantly surprised of how quickly my pizza was made, and I was overall impressed with the restaurant.

MOD Pizza is a restaurant chain that opened up in 2008 in Seattle. There are now 14 locations throughout Colorado, and 280 across America. When you go in, you can choose your own size of a personal pizza and then go through a line and choose toppings from a variety of over 30 choices. They even have different sauces if you don’t want the classic marinara sauce; they also offer barbecue sauce, pesto, white sauce, garlic rub, and extra virgin olive oil. No matter how many toppings you get, it’s the same price per size of pizza. They have three sizes, the 6” Mini, the 11” Mod, and the double 11” inch crust Mega. With the large 800 degree oven, the pizzas only take about three minutes to cook. They also provide hand-spun milkshakes, and housemade iced teas/lemonades.

For many families, getting something simple like pizza is actually pretty difficult. Usually people have different topic preferences, allergies, or dietary choices which can make choosing just one pizza difficult, and it’s hard to make everybody happy with what the compromise is. MOD Pizza is a perfect resolution to these problems. Every individual can pick whatever they want, and MOD Pizza offers many options for those with dietary needs/allergies. They have absolutely no nuts or tree-nuts, and they have gluten free crust, dairy-free sauce, and vegan cheese.

I honestly have no complaints about MOD Pizza. Everything is fast and easy, and the staff is helpful and kind. They are aware of everyone’s needs, and even have things like 100% biodegradable pizza boxes, napkins, salad containers, cups, straws and utensils. I give this restaurant a rating of 10/10 stars. Anyone who is looking for delicious pizza with their picky preferences, should definitely stop by MOD Pizza.
