Pies and Grinders is a new chain restaurant that opened on January 7, 2019 in Monument, Colorado. There is also a Pies and Grinders located in Black Forest, Colorado.

The restaurant is located where Borriello Brothers used to be located, another previous pizza place. It is located off Jackson Creek Parkway next to Don Tequila and Rodolfo’s Mexican Grill.

I had the calzone from their menu, which had mozzarella, parmesan, and ricotta cheese. Customers can add more toppings to their calzone, such as meatballs, pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, and so much more.

The restaurant offers pickup and delivery for customers to take food on the go. The restaurant is very casual and chill. Big booths and chairs surround the restaurant for families and large groups to dine-in.

Although Pies and Grinders is known for their pizza pies, hence the name, they offer a variety of food choices; wings, salads, calzones, strombolis, and philly cheesesteaks are just a few delicious choices.

There are tons of different pizza pies to choose from, with many different toppings customers can add. Some choices of pizzas are New York style, BBQ chicken, artichoke spinach, meat, ricotta, taco, and veggie.

As for appetizers, the restaurant serves some delicious, tasty treats before customers dig into their even tastier meals! Jalapeno poppers, onion rings, fried green beans, fried pickles, mozzarella sticks, fried ravioli, and fried mushrooms are all available in appetizer portions.

Wing lovers should stop in Pies and Grinders for some wings, as they make 10 wings tossed in any kind of sauce: mild, medium, hot, teriyaki, sweet BBQ, spicy BBQ, and garlic parmesan.

After customers enjoy a meal at Pies and Grinders, they can dig into some delicious desserts as well. Cheesecake, carrot cake, chocolate cake, and zeppolis, which is an Italian pastry, are a few options to savor after their meal.

I will definitely be returning to Pies and Grinders for another meal to try; I loved the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the delicious food. They are open from 11 AM – 9 PM, stop by for an appetizing dinner today.
