Allie Swope Dances Her Way to Happiness

Pia Lyhne, Ranger Review Reporter

Allie Swope, 9, has been dancing at Revolution Dance Academy since she was two and a half years old.

“I’ve been dancing since I was two and a half years old at Revolution Dance Academy, in Colorado Springs. I love dancing, it just makes me happy. It’s kinda hard to get into the dance carrier because you have to be really, really good. My sister really inspires me. She’s a really good student, she has all As right now, she’s taking really hard classes. She’s also a dancer, she dances more than me, and has been dancing all her life. I believe God has a purpose for me, my living here. I definitely could not live without my family. It would literally be impossible. I’m really close with my family, and we bond a lot. I’m close with my sister too. We are in the car for an hour and a half everyday together, we dance together. I love her. I surround myself with friends from band and my dance friends. I have a lot of companions from dance. I have a bunch of close friends there. I have a bunch of people that know me and love me from dance because I’ve known them for a very long time.”
