Ashley Griffith is a sophomore at LP who is involved with diving for both the school team and for a club. She loves diving and all that comes with it. 

“I started diving in my 7th grade year. I do both school and club diving. Diving means so much to me. I love the atmosphere of diving, as it provides me an escape from all the crap going on at school, it is just so much fun! Diving provides me with a different friend group separate from the one I have at school. There are so many different grade levels in diving and even more people in my club. My goal is D1 collegiate diving. I have qualified for state both years. State is kind of stressful, but it is also a lot of fun. I also did gymnastics growing up. My parents took me out of gymnastics, and my neighbor who also used to gymnastics was doing diving. She introduced me to it. The thing about diving is that you can start it anytime, it’s not like gymnastics, as you can start as a junior in high-school.”
