“My most memorable event this year was winning state with LP volleyball. It was unlike anything I have ever felt before; I just felt so accomplished because it was a big goal I had. I learned to take in every moment and to work really hard for what you want. I have been playing volleyball for six or seven years; this year was my first year on varsity and last year I played on JV. My favorite thing about volleyball is that you connect with your team and you have to work together. Volleyball is very different from every other sport because you are hitting the ball with your arms and not necessarily catching it, and the energy is really high.”
