On May 27th of the year 2000, a gorilla was born. This little Gorilla was named Harambe, he was born and raised at Gladys Porter Zoo in Texas by a guy named Jerry Stones. Harambe was brought to Cincinnati Zoo in April of 2015, so he was only at this zoo for a month before being shot. The zoo said he was going to be used for breeding.

On May 28th, 2016, yes the day after his birthday, a 3 year old boy was at the zoo Harambe was being kept, and this small boy decided to climb over not 1 but 2 fences and fell down into Harambe’s enclosure. The gorilla was very curious and went over to the boy and stayed by him not leaving his side. He then grabs the little boy and drags him through the water more than once. The little boy was at danger, so authorities decided to shoot Harambe when he then had died.

Months after the incident, people have been making memes and have been arguing that shooting Harambe was not the right choice. But soon afterwards, people decided to quiet down about it– except for one billionaire.

Some of the people in this world can only imagine what it is like to have millions and millions of dollars.  Sometimes having so much money can become boring and money seems to be so worthless, so they decide to do crazy things with this money.

This is exactly what happened to one billionaire in Burbank, California who has not released his name. He became so bored with his life he decided to make one, yes only one, cheeto that looks like a gorilla, but had been named after Harambe. He took a picture and put it up for sell on ebay. In the beginning of the day the bids were staying low, but by the end of the day the bids got up to $100,000. “I’m so mad that there is a cheeto that looks like Harambe that was selling for $15 this morning and now it’s 3:15 in the afternoon and is already above $100,000!” Said Danielle Giannini, 12.

On February 6, 2017 the cheeto sold for nearly $100,000. The buyer has yet to pay up, and if they don’t pay, ebay will start going down the list of the highest bidders, until someone is willing to pay for the dough covered in cheese powder, and luckily for the seller there were many people that placed bids that were over $90K. It also has been reported that whatever the cheeto sells for, the money will be split between the seller and the coworker, as the coworker was the one that suggested to put it up on ebay.

To put this in perspective, some starter homes cost less than this golden gorilla-shaped cheeto.
