Ashlynn Vrieze is a freshman at LP and is a Ranger Review Reporter. She is the oldest of four siblings and is the only girl. Ashlynn also lived in Washington State for 10 years before moving to Colorado at the start of seventh grade.  Ashlynn loves art, skiing, paddle boarding, binge watching movies, going on vacation, and playing on the LP-PR combined field hockey team. Ashlynn’s dream job is to be an engineer of any kind. She hopes to travel to Italy at some point in her life so she can eat authentic Italian food.  A few of Ashlynn’s goals for high school are to maintain a GPA of at least 3.75, make varsity field hockey, win first place at the district art show, and to get her driver’s license.

According to the Lewis Palmer School District website, “With continued growth and future enrollment, overcrowding has brought challenges to most Lewis-Palmer schools.” Every day around 900 students attend Lewis Palmer Middle School. The issue with this is space. When the 4A and 4B bond failed to pass last year, portables were essential to prevent overcrowding in the classrooms.
