Mikaila Ketcherside, Ranger Review Reporter
A senior at Lewis-Palmer High School, Mikaila Ketcherside believes being a staff writer for the Ranger Review has been the best decision she’s made in her high school career, and regrets being able to spend only a single year doing it. She enjoys the art of language and spends her free time writing fiction and poetry. Adjusting to writing like a journalist has been an uphill struggle, but nonetheless has been worth every effort. Her ideal Saturday night is sitting in front of a fire with a cat in her lap and a good book in her hand. She is a member of Lewis-Palmer High School’s Gay-Straight Alliance. Outside of school, she and her family are active in volunteer work, and her favorite organization to volunteer with is Starlight Foundation. Mikaila plans to major in political science at UCCS, is considering a minor in journalism, and hopes to continue her education in law school.
