Sarah Kivela, Ranger Review Webmaster, Advertising Manager, and Opinion Editor
Sarah Kivela, a Ranger Review reporter, is one of the many seniors working on the Lewis-Palmer newspaper staff. When she's not busy being webmaster, advertising manager and editor of Opinion articles, she likes to be actively doing anything she can get her hands on. The product of two engineer parents, she likes taking things apart while (hopefully) knowing how to put them back together. In her free time she tries to be outdoors as much as possible, doing things ranging from camping, hiking, or just playing with her dogs. Besides her love of the outdoors, she also enjoys volunteering for Feed My Starving Children, the Special Olympics, The Wounded Warrior Project, and many other organizations. When she's not outdoors or volunteering, she's most likely spending time with her family and friends, watching movies, playing the piano, or training.
She is hopeful to receive the Navy ROTC college scholarship and will be attending university in the fall of 2013. She plans to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and will begin her career as an active duty Naval Officer after graduating from college.
